Fear

The hand is squeezing onto the side of the table, on one’s leg, on the arm of the chair while the person replies ”No”. The person is lying.

Replying ”yes” is being truthful

 

Fear of the implications

The hands are comforting self – he is afraid of the implications

This person is hiding something or has just lied

[ Any hand comforting on the hands or head ] is a display of ” Fear of the implications

Shoulder shrug/unsure

Replying ‘I am not scared of you”

The shoulder shrug displayed shows that he is afraid of the implications

When this is usually said with ” So” or ”I do not care”  It is a contradiction – they are lying about their level of confidence
