Establishing a base line. [The natural way a person reacts]
1. Establish the base line of a person by asking simple questions to see in which direction when someone is looking to remember or construct.
Most importantly, make sure that they are in the conversation when you are asking them when questioning, as they could be thinking about something else and may react to that thought and not your question.
Furthermore, they may have a specific issue such as a twitch or medical issue with their eyes so do take this into consideration for this moment in time.
How to determine the Self-Side ”Memory Direction”
Ask questions around the subject of interest to determine if the person is trying to remember?
ASK AT LEAST 2 NON INTRUSIVE Remember QUESTIONS in order to test and check.
Example: All about the car.
- Do you remember what was your first car?
- and the one after that?
- Do you remember what color it was –
- Did it have a good sound system?
After a few days, begin to ask” constructing questions” which is their ‘Work-side’
[They will look in the opposite direction of ‘self-side’ memory direction]
- Can you imagine yourself walking on the catwalk in a fashion show?
- Can you see yourself sitting on a beach watching a sunset in Greece drinking a glass of wine or where can you see yourself right now if you were on holiday ?
How it works
The Person looking at you directly
- When a person is answering and looking towards a direction that is in line with an obvious response, then this indicates how a person truly is trying to participate
- If the person is looking in the opposite direction or towards another direction which is not the obvious direction they should be looking, then one can consider that the eye movement would be a contradiction
-
Again – How to:
- Asking 2 remember questions to a establish the natural way of a person when they are remembering
- Then ask the question that you want to know.
Establish the person’s base line.
(The natural direction they look to remember)
” You should see the person trying to remember”

Perhaps this is the direction for memory recalling
Question 2? What car did your parents have?
Again, the person should be looking to the remember side.
They would look in the same direction as before

Looking again at them remember pattern
Which favourite car could you see yourself driving?

They are constructing an image of themselves when they are looking in the work-side
Lying Eyes Concept
By asking the right question, at the right time for the right reasons you can place the ‘person’ under huge stress
- When they are caught in a planned lie and under stress when questioned, they will look to the memory direction to remember the planned lie, and then, they will look to the work side to construct ideas or answers to get them out of this situation.
- With the level of stress – you will notice them looking one side and then the other side with quick eye movements thus displaying lying eyes.

HOMEWORK
The focus this week is simply to ask questions ONLY to remember
[self – side] for a few days -
A few days later when you got the hang of it – then ask questions related to identifying their work side [the opposite side]
